Come one step ahead, you can backup more than you sync. What will happen if you need to format your PC if you were not ready for that ?
Here is the solution. This helps when you are switching between channels, any system failure or similar problems. This process can even store your Cache, Extentions, Top Sites, History, Last session and even more. For this you will only need any external storage device, this may be your pen drive, cellphone, CDs, or any online storage. All you need to do is make a copy of the User Data\Default directory (for example, copy it to 'Default Backup' in the same location). The location depends on your operating system :
- Windows XP: (DRIVE NAME)\Documents and Setting\Username\Local Setting\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\ Default
- Windows Vista or 7: (DRIVE NAME)\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default
- Mac OS X : ~/Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome/Default
- Linux: ~.config/google-chrome/Default
for windows xp:
